WHY BODYSHOPCONNECT
Designed by people with real shop experience who understand your needs.
Everything on this page is about us — what we built, why we built it, and the person who built it first.
Built from the workflow, not around it
Sharon had the workflow in her head long before she had a line of code — decades of estimating, scheduling, parts, and job costing, lived on the shop floor, not guessed at from a sales deck. Every screen in BodyshopConnect started as a process she already knew inside and out. “I wasn't guessing at how a shop runs. I was building something I already knew.” — Sharon Ashley
Every shop gets Sharon's attention, not just her software
Adoption doesn't happen by accident. Sharon and her team stay hands-on through the change — training, troubleshooting, and making sure a shop gets the value it signed up for, not just a login. Ask a shop that's been with us for years and they'll tell you it's the relationship as much as the platform. “I trust Sharon and her team.” — Jeff Jones, CSN group of shops
WHY WE'RE DIFFERENT
We didn't start by building features. We started by asking where your shop is right now.
Every shop is fighting a different fight. Some are still running the front office off spreadsheets and sticky notes. Some have the front office handled but are bleeding margin on parts and labor. Some are ready to run full production across every bay, every tech, every job. We've stood in all three of those shops — so instead of one bloated system with every feature switched on, we built three tiers that match where a shop is today, and grow with it as it changes.

THE PERSON BEHIND THE PLATFORM
Every screen on this platform started as something Sharon Ashley needed herself.
Built by someone who understands your shop — because she's owned and run one. Sharon Ashley's career spans over four decades in collision repair, from hands-on shop work and managing multiple locations to owning her own collision repair business, consulting, training, and technology development. Her experience across repair, estimating, production, customer service, and business management gives her a practical understanding of the challenges shop owners and their teams face every day. Sharon studied computer programming before entering the collision repair industry. Motorcycle racing later sparked her desire to learn to repair her own race bikes, beginning a journey that would eventually bring her technology background and shop experience together. Throughout her career, Sharon has continued to learn and expand her expertise. She became a Certified QuickBooks Trainer, earned I-CAR Platinum recognition and a Six Sigma Black Belt, and completed management training with Fred Pryor and Dale Carnegie. Her continued learning includes AI industry-recognized courses in workflow automation, AI consulting, AI leadership, and change management, alongside in-depth study of specific AI tools and software. Sharon founded Micazen, which began operating in 2005 and was incorporated as Micazen Consulting & Technologies Inc. in 2014. Through more than a decade of helping collision repair businesses across Canada and the United States improve operations and implement management systems, she saw an opportunity to create software that better reflected how shops actually work. Micazen designed BodyshopConnect, launched in 2016, to turn that experience into practical tools that help teams stay organized, improve communication, and manage their businesses with greater clarity. Today, Sharon and the Micazen team are building BodyshopConnect AI, continuing her commitment to combining operational experience with technology that helps businesses and their people fulfill their potential. “If the system doesn't work, build a better one.” Sharon Ashley Founder & President, Micazen Consulting & Technologies Inc.
